Hi, I’m Doug Starcke, Managing Partner and a member of the Board of Directors at Transportation Impact.
arly in my professional career I was taught the importance of dividing to multiply. Since I came to Transportation Impact as Managing Partner in 2009, I’ve enjoyed dividing my knowledge to help our individual team members grow professionally and personally, and to empower our clients so they can make the right choices for their business.
I take pride in helping our clients save money, bringing to this task the experience I gained over my 15+ year career in the transportation industry, which started at UPS®. Negotiating rate agreements, analyzing clients’ business processes, offering custom solutions that reduce operational bottlenecks and helping streamline procedures — these are areas I am passionate about.
All of this is built on the foundation of a BSc in Business Administration, which I earned at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
At an even more fundamental level, growing up in a beach town taught me how to separate work from play and stay zeroed in on the job at hand, whether it’s dissecting a client’s parcel rate agreement into the late-night hours, or riding some good south swell at sunrise. No moss grows under my feet as Managing Partner of this fast-paced company and a recent father of two!
