Emerald Isle supply chain management firm honored at Pinehurst Resort

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Pinehurst, N.C. (September 20, 2016) – Emerald Isle supply chain spend management firm Transportation Impact is having a great year. Cherry Bekaert and Business North Carolina magazine tabbed TI No. 16 among the state’s Mid-Market FAST 40 at Pinehurst Resort on Tuesday, adding to a growing list of accolades for the company.

The award comes on the heels of the company’s fourth consecutive appearance on Inc. magazine’s Inc. 5000 list of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies, and their move into a spacious new Emerald Isle headquarters.

Nominees for the FAST 40 award must be headquartered in N.C.; a commercial enterprise; either privately owned or publicly traded; have net annual revenue between $10 million and $500 million and; demonstrate sustained revenue and employment growth over the past three years.

All rankings are objectively based on the companies that demonstrated the highest weighted three-year average growth in revenue and employment with 75 percent toward revenue growth and 25 percent toward employee growth, according to the Cherry Bekaert website.

Past winners include Bronto Software, Bojangles’, LendingTree and Movement Mortgage.

“This year has definitely been good to us,” said Keith Byrd, co-founder and principal partner. “We feel fortunate that we are able to represent our area well and do our part to promote economic growth in our town, county and state.

“We are very thankful for the opportunity Business North Carolina and Cherry Bekaert have provided for companies like ours to showcase our talents, and even more thankful to our staff for making things happen day in and day out.”
