Transportation Impact debuts with Durham Bulls amid record crowds

North Carolina-based supply chain consulting firm signs on as season-long sponsor

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Emerald Isle, N.C. (April 20, 2017) – Transportation Impact is proud to announce a season-long partnership with the Durham Bulls, the iconic minor league baseball franchise located in the heart of North Carolina. The deal includes branding rights to the Transportation Impact Party Deck located on the visitor’s side of Durham Bulls Athletic Park (DBAP) and marks the fast-growing N.C.-based company’s first deal with a North Carolina sports franchise.

“We feel like the spirit of Durham Bulls baseball aligns well with our organization’s goals and values,” said Brandon Staton, marketing director at Transportation Impact. “Baseball brings people together. DBAP, in particular, is a place where lasting relationships are built, whether you’re a player on the field or a fan in the stands.

“Success in our business is predicated upon building relationships, and Transportation Impact’s relationship with the Bulls is off to a great start.”

The Bulls opened their 2017 home schedule with a record-breaking seven-game homestand, welcoming a paid attendance of 52,211 to DBAP, according to a release from the team. That number exceeded the team’s previous best seven-game start to a season of 48,589 fans in 2004.

“We can’t say enough about how dedicated our fan base is to this organization, and how thankful we are,” Bulls General Manager Mike Birling said.

Transportation Impact, which specializes in helping companies reduce supply chain related costs, hopes that aligning with the most recognized name in minor league baseball will serve both sides well.

“As a North Carolina-based business, we want to align ourselves with partners right here in our home state,” Staton said. “Hopefully we can help the Bulls continue to deliver the best and most affordable fan experience possible and they can introduce us to companies that would benefit from lower small package and freight shipping rates.”

The Bulls return to DBAP for a six-game homestand beginning Tuesday, May 25, at 7:05 p.m.
