Transportation Impact continues Boys & Girls Club Sponsorship

Funds benefit Denim and Diamonds, Summer Jam, Barta Billfish Tournament

Emerald Isle, N.C. (February 8, 2016) – Transportation Impact has extended its sponsorship of three major events for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Coastal Carolina. Denim and Diamonds, Summer Jam and the Barta Billfish Tournament raise money to support the Club, which provides a positive, safe and exciting environment for local youth.

Denim and Diamonds is a ball that will feature a relaxed atmosphere with a denim dress code, local food and music from the Band of Oz. Summer Jam will provide a fun night of dancing to band Liquid Pleasure and enjoyable ocean views from the Coral Bay Club. The Barta Billfish Tournament is a 3-day offshore and inshore fishing tournament on the Beaufort waterfront. All three events raise funds to support Boys & Girls Clubs of Beaufort, Morehead City and Havelock. In 2015, the trio of events raised $83,076 with the Billfish tournament alone raising $40,000.

“With the past success of these fundraising endeavors, Transportation Impact is excited to continue its sponsorship,” said company Co-Founder Keith Byrd. “We’re looking forward to having a great time while raising awareness and funds for an important organization in our community.”

Denim and Diamonds is scheduled for March 12 at 7 p.m. at the Crystal Coast Civic Center. Summer Jam is set for June 24 at 7 p.m. at the Coral Bay Club. The Barta Billfish Tournament will take place July 14-16 at the Beaufort Town Docks with fishing hours starting at 8 a.m. for offshore fishing and 7:30 a.m. for inshore.
